GINGIVA is the most frequently pigmented tissue of the oral cavity . Although gingival hyper pigmentation does not represent a pathologic problem, patients request cosmetic therapy especially when the pigmentation is on the facial aspect of the gingiva and the patient with gummy smile often find it to be unaesthetic.
